Other parts of my job feel like chores: Things that feel tedious, even when they're important. Motivation to start on such tasks is always a challenge. Working from home, when there's no one around to motivate me but me, makes all of this more difficult.

But now I'm never alone. Claude is always there, ready to help. For example, I don't like making PowerPoint slides. I'm not a visual thinker, I think in words and text. So I had Claude do it for me:
- Take this Confluence page, containing this table, and make a PowerPoint out of it. Now fix these couple of things.
- Now fix these couple of things.
- Now take this company template and apply the themes and colors.
There was a bit more back and forth than that, and I probably didn't save any time over just doing it myself, but a) I'm much more motivated to have another conversation with Claude than I am to make slides on my own, and b) Claude is, in fact, better at it than I am.
My main point, though: the absence of de-motivating loneliness is the most profound thing I'm taking away from the last couple of weeks with Claude.
